Hi folks,

Sandra has kindly put a Zamboni screen-saver on her Figure Skating
Web Page.  Aim your browser at:

   http://www.frogsonice.com/skateweb/archive/zamboni-screensaver.bin

I supplied her with this file, so if there are any problems, blame me.

This is for Windows 3.1 and Windows 95, so you'll need to rename the file
before Windows can use it.  I recommend renaming it "ZAMBONI.SCR".
After fetching and renaming the file, put it in the following directory:

   C:\WINDOWS

Once there, it will be in your list of screen savers as "WP3=>Ice Cleaner".

This is shareware, so if you like it, click Settings/About to get an
address to which to send money.

I've appended the email that led me to this program.  Enjoy it!

May 1996:

There is a Zamboni screensaver program available as shareware on the Net. 
It took a bit of searching and there may be other versions available. The 
one I found basically "cleans" off your screen using the Zamboni machine 
in the looping pattern they use. No, he doesn't have any funny signs 
posted on the Zamboni. <g> 

Anyway, if you're interested, you can ftp the file from ftp.winsite.com 
in directory pub/pc/win3. The file you want is called winpak3.zip. You 
have to unzip it to use the program. It is shareware; the registration 
for the full program (which includes other screensavers, icons, fonts, 
etc) is around $20. I'm not sure whether you can get *just* the ice 
cleaner part of the program; I'm tempted to email their online rep and 
ask. 

Another computer related question, does anyone know a good font that 
simulates tracings on the ice?
